About

I am a Clinical Psychologist in private practice working via telehealth (video call or telephone - Australia wide) and in person in the Melbourne suburb of Eltham. I'm passionate about my work and love to keep learning and updating knowledge. My practice aims to offer a safe, respectful and non-judgmental space. Its important to me that you feel at ease and comfortable to be yourself. I will listen, talk through private concerns and try to help you identify strategies for improved well-being.

My approach is gentle, positive, open minded and holistic. My work is underpinned by scientifically supported methods (including Schema, EMDR, mindfulness (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral therapies) that have been proven to enhance well-being. Where appropriate, I do like to gently address unresolved past distressing life events, that may influence current experiences and underlying beliefs.

I work with adults of all ages.

Some of the areas I may be able to assist with include:

  • Depression and/or anxiety

  • Stress and/or burn out

  • Supporting neurodivergent individuals or those exploring the possibility of neurodivergence (e.g. Autism or ADHD)

  • Difficulty coping with a whole range of different life challenges and changes

  • Grief and loss

  • Relationship problems including break ups and divorce

  • PTSD and unresolved childhood trauma

  • Physical and chronic health issues

  • Psycho-oncology (cancer support)

  • High personal sensitivity

  • Support during the perinatal period

  • Infertility and IVF

  • Work, study or career concerns

I've been working as a psychologist since 2009 and have worked in helping professions for over 30 years (starting off my career as a registered nurse).

I am a massive animal lover, especially Australian native animals/birds, as well as dogs and cats. When I work from my home office via telehealth, you may also be joined by Huxley (the dog) and Lily (the cat). The both like to sleep during sessions. Huxley may sometimes give a happy groan/snore and Lily very occasionally wakes up and pops in to visit. My pets don't come to office based appointments as they prefer to be at home.

I am also a tea lover and you'll often see me with a cup of tea (or occasional coffee). You are fully welcome to bring your own cuppa of choice to our sessions, whether that be online or in person.

Generally I offer a hybrid mix of telehealth (video call or telephone) and office based appointments to people. If you want to know more about telehealth or office based appointment options, including location, please click here.
